Detailed Culture Welcomes Steve Kwon

Steve Kwon has joined me in working on a new venture called The Daily Block.  Steve originally from Waxhaw considers himself a native Charlottean and has a degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill in Economics and Political Science.  While there he worked on The Daily Tar Heel so he has real journalism experience.  More recently, Steve wored for General Sentiment, a media analyis company, as a Research Analyst.  Occasionally he will be writing posts here on Detailed Culture, hopefully about Charlotte policy and planning, but that has not been nailed down for now.

The goal of the Daily Block will be to help Charlotteans find local news from multiple sources in one place.  As we develop it, we will focus it on specific neighborhoods in Charlotte, also known as hyper local news.  Steve will be leading The Daily Block a site we both hope will save you time and help you learn more about Charlotte.  Currently, we do not have a website, but you can find a supply of tweets coming from the twitter stream.

Detailed Culture has only existed for 6 months and I am excited to see this next part exist.  I will continue to write more on this blog and you will start to see other changes happen soon, Steve and The Daily Block are the first part.  We still have day jobs so please be patient with us as the changes occur over the next few months.
