I2C: Common Market & Amelies

One of the first Intro to Charlotte posts I will do is about Common Market and Amelie’s.  There are many long time Charlotteans, such as my parents, who do not even know of these two businesses.  Both businesses are heavily involved in Charlotte’s community and have different types of events weekly.

This video was created by Bread & Butter Pictures for their Charlotte Video Project series.  The goal of the Charlotte Video Project is for them to create 100 videos that depicts the city’s culture before the Democratic National Convention (DNC).  This goal is not much different from the goal of Detailed Culture, but they are doing it through video.  Kevin Beaty & Scott Lazes created BB Pictures after graduating from college.  They have known each other since going to school together here in Charlotte.  Check out the video about these wonderful places in the video below.
