Eco-licious & Pura Vida Now CSA Pickup Locations

Posted on June 25, 2012 by James Stewart Jr

After Harris Teeter on Plaza Rd and Central Ave closed for renovations, Eco-licious and Pura Vida have decided to start receiving CSA shares from Know Your Farms.  A CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, program is a way of purchasing food that helps build a sustainable local food system by buying from local farms.  Each week a member receives fresh vegetables from local farms.  There are 4 week, 8 week, and 12 week options in small and large increments.

Know Your Farms provides annual farm tours, community camps for children, and farm projects such as fencing as well as their CSA service.  For people living in Plaza Midwood and NoDa,  this is an option that supports local farmers and provides healthy fresh alternatives for buying vegetables.
