Treasure Fest Completely Supported By Local Businesses
Posted on April 27, 2012 by James Stewart Jr
One of the best parts of Charlotte is its music scene. It is easy to find music venues in many parts of the city supporting local musicians. Very seldom do we have musical festivals that are housed in these venues; however, Treasure Fest is unique because it houses its festival in the music venues. Treasure Fest in its 2nd year is currently completely supported by the small businesses of Plaza Midwood. This music festival is supported by local businesses, housed in local venues, and showcases a large number of local talent. There is a sizable amount of Charlotte in this event.
On May 18th and 19th, over 60 bands will be playing in 8 different venues of Plaza Midwood to display their art. For $25, you can enjoy both days; however, the pricing varies if you choose to pay on a per show basis. The list of bands are on the Treasure Fest website; however, if you feel inclined to start supporting some of the musicians you can at today’s benefit show at The Milestone Club.
Here are a few of the Charlotte based artists that will be at Treasure Fest.
